Quality Engineer

As a Quality Engineer, you will be working in conjunction with Project Engineers and Section Leaders, reporting directly to the Quality Management and ultimately to the Company Directors. You should have a good working experience of Quality Management processes (Preferably AS9100, & AS13100), especially in the implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning, Production Part Approval Planning and Risk Management techniques.

Quality Engineer will be involved with:

  • This will be a customer-facing role, you will be the key customer interface with multiple Aerospace customer accounts related to quality issues 
  • Addressing internal & external process & product non-conformance issues
  • Performing root cause corrective action (RCCA) analysis 
  • Understanding of AS13100 and its implementation throughout the company
  • Process capability techniques including SPC, MSA & control plan
  • Support internal & external audits, and closure of non-conformance reports
  • Support Project Engineers and section leaders in performing RCCA analysis, address product quality issues and improving departmental KPIs 
  • Writing and Implementing Quality Plans for Production Readiness
  • Supporting NPI, FAIR activities 
  • Reviewing customer specifications and ensuring internal processes & procedures compliance
  • Health, Safety and Environment compliance.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the management

Essential knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Good leadership and communication skills 
  • Good analytical ability and interpersonal skills
  • 7-10 years of experience in the aviation sector
  • Experience of working to AS9100 & AS13100
  • Experience of working in a New Product Introduction environment
  • Working knowledge and experience of APQP, PPAP and FMEA
  • Experience and working knowledge of Problem-Solving techniques
  • Experience of working with one or more Aerospace OEM requirements
  • Good fluency in English language
  • Health, Safety and Environment compliance.
