The role:
- Introduction of new products (NPI), working to both ISO, AS and company standards and procedures.
- Being able to work independently on projects with support from the wider team.
- Design of manufacturing process plans and works instructions.
- Design of jigs and fixtures.
- Offline programming of CNC machines including milling, turning, mill-turn, lasers and WEDM machining centres.
- Producing high-quality technical drawings for use both internally and externally (for customers or sub-contractors).
- Health, Safety and Environment compliance
Requirements:
- Engineering Degree (Mechanical Design or Aerospace preferable).
- 5 years’ experience within an engineering role.
- Experience in CAD/CAM (Siemens NX preferrable).
- Experience in creating engineering drawings (incl. GDT).
- Understanding of project management techniques and tools.
- Experience working with core quality tools (APQP, FMEA, MSA, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Be an effective communicator when interacting with colleagues and customers.
- To always work in a professional manner.
- Full UK driving licence (role will some travel between sites).
